About Eric Hutchinson

Eric Hutchinson, born in Yorkshire, England, and a graduate of the University of Cambridge, is a retired professor of chemistry at Stanford University, where he also taught classes in calligraphy, and for which institution he designed the coats of arms and heraldic flags of the various Schools.

His free-lance work includes commissions carried out for many individual clients and for organizations such as the Palo Alto Historical Association. He is a member of the Society of Scribes and Illuminators and studied with Ann Camp.
